Flashpoint
“We are one, after all, you and I. Together we suffer, together exist, and forever will recreate each other.” ~ Pierre Teilhard de Chardin The Aquarius Full Moon rises tonight on the cross-quarter gateway of Lammas. This turning of the solar and lunar wheel is a celebration of community and a time to consider how we’re taking care of each other. All full moons are oppositions of the lunar feminine and solar masculine. On the Aquarius-Leo axis, the polarity highlights self in relation to the collective. Innovation and creativity run wild. It’s an...

Of the 7 billion people on Earth, more than half are under the age of 25. Think about that. In a very real way, the future is in the hands of our youth. They are a force for change. Solstice is stillpoint, the apex of the solar year. For three days, the Sun hangs in the same place in the sky before reversing direction and continuing on its journey toward the December Solstice. Planetary movements signal the slow, steady, deliberate passage of time. Their movement mirrors our own. This moment, now, the next three...

What an altered reality check 2012 is turning out to be. I remember having brunch in Sedona, Arizona, on New Year’s Day 2012 with two of my favorite soul brothers – Mongolian shaman Jade Wah’oo and shamanic astrologer Sao. As the sun shone brightly in a crystal-blue sky, we savored the sensual delights of a marvelous meal and conversation, a warm breeze dancing on our bare arms in the middle of winter. We chatted about the potential and possibilities of this pivotal year, including the astrology (of course), the upcoming U.S. presidential election, the wave of...
